Faster Ideation, Better Control: November Feature Drop

This month's updates help you explore and refine architectural concepts with more ease and efficiency. We've expanded our AI capabilities to give you new ways to bring ideas to life during early-stage design, plus added workflow improvements that make daily tasks smoother and more delightful.

AI Updates: Explore Ideas More Freely

AI Image-to-Video Rendering: See Your Designs in Motion

Add movement to any static image—renders, sketches, or models from Revit or Rhino. AI image-to-video rendering transforms your concepts into dynamic sequences that help you understand how a space actually feels and flows.

A simple prompt like "start from a bird's-eye view and circle around the building" or "follow the walkway and then pan out to view the surrounding area" gives you a new way to experience your design and communicate its spatial qualities. This is especially valuable when you're working through ideas and want to see them from different angles.

Now you can communicate design intent experientially during the ideation phase without creating complex animations manually.

Enhanced Rendering Controls: Refine Exactly What You Need

Target specific areas of your image for refinement. Select a portion of your render and prompt for what you'd like to see: "add sun shades to the windows here" or "add palm trees of varying heights surrounding this part of my building."

This precision means you can iterate on details quickly while keeping the rest of your concept intact—no need to regenerate entire images. This fine-tuned control over specific design elements speeds up iteration during concept exploration.

New AI Rendering Presets: More Control Over Atmosphere

New presets help you set the scene faster and test how your design performs in different environmental contexts:

  • Light or dark backgrounds: Control the overall mood and presentation style
  • "After the rain" weather modifier: Visualize how your design responds to specific climates and conditions

Additional Updates: Workflow Improvements

Section Capping

Poche for section cuts (black in light mode, white in dark mode) makes models easier to read and understand at a glance.

Views Management

Organize your workspace efficiently:

  • Set any saved view as your home view
  • Reorder views by dragging and dropping

Multi-Select in Scene Browser

Select multiple objects or assets at once to make bulk edits faster.

Rich Text in Comments

Add hyperlinks, bold, underline, and italicize text in comments for more natural collaboration.

Board Creation Options

Choose your view when creating new boards:

  • Top-down view: Ideal for 2D brainstorming and presentations
  • Perspective view: Ideal for 3D work and spatial navigation

Plugin Enhancements

Better control over how Revit and Rhino connect with Motif:

  • Interact with comments directly in Revit and Rhino without streaming a 3D model
  • Choose whether comments appear in Revit and Rhino
  • Control resolution settings for streamed Revit sheet sets
  • Sheets and views now publish directly to PNG for faster performance
